Success shouldn't mean sacrificing the life you're working so hard to build
Bolaños Bookkeeping started because I wanted both a successful career and the freedom to be present for the things that matter most. Today, I help other business owners find that same balance.

The ledger, in order
2010s
I began my bookkeeping career as a single mom juggling work, school and raising my son. An opportunity at a tax office taught me the fundamentals, and I got genuinely interested in the accounting side of running a business — enough to take accounting courses and earn my Associate's degree in Business.
~10 yrs
I spent nearly ten years at that same office, building the foundation for the work I do today. In 2020, while pregnant with my second child, COVID changed everything. After my daughter was born I took time away to be fully present with my family — and by the end of that year I was ready to work again, on terms that kept my family first.
2021
Instead of going back to work for someone else, I spent several months building a plan of my own. With the support of family and friends, I launched Bolaños Bookkeeping. I started with fewer than five clients — and I still work with most of them today.
30+
Since then I've served more than 30 businesses and currently manage the books for around 20 across a range of industries. The work has grown, too: I've trained owners who wanted to run their own books, taken on one-time cleanups and special projects, and helped businesses untangle years of records — one cleanup covered 2013 through 2024.
Today
What started as a way to build a career around my family turned into a business I love. I've learned to manage my time so every client gets the attention, accuracy and quality they deserve — without giving up the time that matters most.
To take the stress of bookkeeping off your plate, giving you clear numbers, organized books, and more time for the business and life you're building.
